Mind Blossom’s Board of Directors are crucial in overseeing that Mind Blossom’s team fulfill its overarching mission of bringing mental health education to all communities. The Mind Blossom Board of Directors meet every quarter where the Mind Blossom Leadership Team Members provide progress updates.

Sola Togun-Butler, PhD, LCSW, LISW-S
Founder, CEO, Life coach, & Psychotherapist
Dr. Sola Togun-Butler is the Founder, CEO, and Psychotherapist at Butterfly Counseling Services. She was an Assistant Professor and Associate Chairperson in the Human Services Department at St. Joseph’s University in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Sola has a Ph.D. in Education, a Master’s degree in Social Work, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the States of New York, New Jersey, and Ohio and has been in the field of social work for over 20 years. She is also a professional speaker who highlights the importance of mental health and wellness while offering solutions to minimize stress, prevent burnout, and achieve balance.
Sean Perry
Founder, President, and Executive Director of WE R H.O.P.E
Meet Sean Perry – a trailblazer in the field of youth mental health coaching. With two decades of experience under his belt and a wealth of knowledge and expertise, he has been on the front lines of addressing the inequalities in mental health support services. But he didn’t just sit back and observe, he took action. He co-founded We R H.O.P.E. Inc, an organization that is revolutionizing the way we approach mental health by bringing support to young people at an early age and breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness at the school and community level.
As a certified Life Coach, Cognitive Behavioral Coach, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Specialist/Instructor, certified in Childhood Trauma, Exposure Response Prevention Specialist, Signs of Suicide Prevention trainer, trained in collaborative problem solving, international trainer in Emotional CPR, and one of the curriculum writers and trainers for Youth Emotional CPR, He is equipped with the tools and the knowledge to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing young people today. He is even credited as the first person to bring youth Emotional CPR to a school setting.
But his impact doesn’t stop there. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the National Empowerment Center (NEC) and the New England Mental Health Technology Transfer Center Network (MHTTC), which further establishes his expertise and leadership in the field. His passion for making a real difference in the lives of youth is palpable and his commitment to driving change is unwavering. With his dynamic approach, unyielding determination and ability to think outside the box, Sean Perry is not only a force to be reckoned with, but also a true inspiration.
Sean Perry serves as the Treasurer of the Mind Blossom Board of Directors.
Daniel Fincham
Founder and CEO of Recoverlution
Daniel is the founder of Recoverlution, a platform dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery from addiction. At 36, Daniel was a VP at a software company, seemingly successful, with a loving family and a dream house. However, he struggled with addiction and found himself in and out of rehab, hospitals, and jail. In June 2020, at 37, Daniel began his recovery journey, relapsing in 2021 but continuing to persevere. Recoverlution, which started as a personal journal, has evolved into a comprehensive platform connecting and empowering the recovery community. Daniel is committed to breaking down the stigma of addiction and helping others grow and thrive in their recovery journey.

Sara Spowart, PhD, LMFT, DMFT(c)., MPA, RYT
Therapist, Adjunct Professor, Writer & Advocate
Sara Spowart is a compassion-based mindfulness practitioner and a licensed marriage and family therapist. She holds multiple higher-level degrees and is currently completing her 2nd doctorate and 3rd master’s degree, with a focus on facilitating happiness in community-based settings. She has done and continues to do humanitarian work in Tanzania, the United States, India, Costa Rica, Syria, Mexico, Gambia, Burkina Faso, and Mali. She has taught, facilitated, and created many university courses including at Carnegie Mellon University, New York University, Middlebury University, California State University, and the University of South Florida. She is the author of published textbooks and many academic chapters. She is the founder and owner of Compassion-Based Happiness, LLC, and created a psychoeducation program called “The Happiness-Based Mindfulness Program” that is currently used with clients.

Wesley Updike
Senior Academic Coach
Wes is a higher education professional with over 8 years of experience. He has a passion for helping students reach their full potential and believes in creating holistic learning environments. His experience includes leading programs to support student success, and assisting adult learners in pursuit of college degrees. He has a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education and works closely with faculty, staff, and administrators to maintain a supportive campus environment. Wes is dedicated to providing students with the resources and support they need to succeed, and he is committed to making sure mental health services are accessible and equitable for all.
Aramie Bloom
Paralegal
Aramie Bloom was born and raised in Louisville, KY and has since lived and traveled throughout the U.S., Europe, and South America. She is a lifelong horse person, author and published poet, fine dining cook, and ever-expanding artist. Aramie is currently pursuing her BSBA in Equine Business at the University of Louisville. With over 30 years in the horse world, and over a decade with 12 Step Programs, she is passionate about combining horses with addiction recovery. Aramie is also a joyful member of Ben’s Friends, a national organization for sober food and beverage workers. She regularly works providing energy work for horses and people, as a volunteer with her local hospice network, and on campus with the International Honor’s Society Beta Alpha Psi. In addition to being on the board, Aramie is also the Director of Communications at Mind Blossom.
Thomas Costello, PhD
Post doctoral fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
Thomas Costello, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow in Psychology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an expert in the fields of personality pathology and political psychology. He received his PhD in Psychopathology from Emory University in 2022. As a scholar, Thomas has made significant contributions to the field of psychology, particularly in understanding the relationship between personality and political beliefs. His research has been published in several leading academic journals, and he has presented his findings at numerous national and international conferences. Thomas is deeply committed to using his expertise to help individuals and communities better understand the complex interplay between psychological factors and societal issues. He is passionate about promoting mental health and well-being through psychoeducation, and has worked with a variety of organizations as a therapist to implement evidence-based programs and interventions. In addition to being on the board, Thomas regularly speaks at Mind Blossom events and serves as an advisor to the programming teams.

Mind Blossom is dedicated to make an impact in your local area. When you donate 1000$ or more, we will reinvest our profits in your local area (state or region).
When you donate 3000$ or more, we give you the option to decide which specific school or specific area we should dedicate our pro bono services to.
Know where your money went
We release quarterly newsletter that state where we have worked either as a service or pro bono activity. In this newsletter we also state how much money we received in donations and exactly how we have spent them.
