    The Adolescent Brain is an invaluable resources, as are the many other resources provided by Mind Blossom. They take complex topics and make them easy to understand for any audience. This is critical information for all of us, as we all need to understand our mental health and the neurological underpinnings of how things work in our brains – especially when we work with or care for adolescents.     As a mom of a new teenager and neuroscientist I loved this pamphlet on so many levels! It can be difficult to describe a complex topic like the brain, but Dr. Yilman uses diagrams, analogies and simple explanations to demystify adolescent brain development. Through reading this pamphlet, I better understand the major developmental forces at play in my teenager’s brain, as well as simple things I can do to help him develop healthier coping mechanisms. This well-researched resource helps me be informed and compassionate rather than judgmental as a parent, and helps me be a better neuroscience resource to clients of all ages as well!
