Introducing the Brain

(2 customer reviews)

In this 17-page pamphlet, our CEO and founder digs into the basics of neuroscience. In an engaging and accessible manner, she explains brain anatomy, brain cells, and neuronal plasticity. She also explores the process of brain development, and she introduces you to what it means when brain function "goes awry". This is an excellent resource for anyone new to neuroscience and interested in learning the basics. We recommend reading this pamphlet before venturing over the pamphlet on the adolescent brain.

Understanding brain development and function seems even more complex than the brain itself! As a mental health advocate and someone currently battling mental illness, I’ve taken an academic approach in recovery. I try to learn as much as I can about the neuroscience, in particular when the brain goes awry. This is an excellent resource to have as it is easy-to-understand and in-depth to the point where it doesn’t feel like information overload. I highly recommend checking it out!!
